Okay cool.
I think I stumbled into a really excellent position on this tribe, and I just need to play my cards right. They should be easy cards to play, though. It seems like Nikki, Olivia, and I are being handed the power on this tribe, when it should be in old Maraamu's hands. Angelica, Rocky, and Willow appear to have a LOT of beef coming in, and they all seem pretty excited to have new people to work with. That means those new people (meeee) (and Nikki and Olivia I guess) have options.
Before I decide which of old Maraamu to target, I need to get on call with each of them to get a read on where they want to see the game go. I talked game with Angelica during our writing sesh last night (she is NOT a Willow fan), and I'm planning to call Willow and Rocky tonight. Based on what I'm hearing from Nikki and Olivia, the one most open to flipping on their OG tribe is Willow. I'm very down to work with Willow long-term; she seems like she wants solid allies more than anything, which means I have a chance to swoop in with big promises and secure a loyal ally for myself.
So far, I'm very well set up to play my ideal game, in which I gain a few extremely close allies at every swap, and go into merge with a majority of people backing me. It should allow me to make those crucial early merge decisions that determine the direction of the rest of the game. It's a very precarious game to play, but I think it's my best shot at winning. I'm sure that at some point, things will go off the rails, but for now, things seem to be very firmly on the rails. So I'm gonna keep on railing.
P.S. Reading this confessional back is super boring, and I think it's because I'm playing a fairly safe game so far. I do want to take big risks and make flashy moves when the time is right, but I think it's still too early. Any huge thing I do will be solely for the purpose of bettering my game. "Six Way Tie Kyle" is dead, or at least cryogenically frozen. I'll thaw him back out when I need him.
