When's the best time to post a confessional? After a day where I make zero calls or progress of any kind, of course!
Thanksgiving was chill, and I think everybody took the day as an opportunity to disconnect from the game, which is good for me, because it allows the status quo to stay intact, and I think the status quo benefits me right now.
It looks like Vanua is going to stick to original tribe lines, which means Willow is the swing vote. I feel optimistic that she'll want to vote with OG Aparri, due to fear of OG Koror's numbers and the uncertainty of where their idol is. So, numerically, things should work out for me.
The biggest issue (as long as none of Willow, Kaitlyn, or Michael flip) is the possibility of an idol. OG Koror can probably pick up on the fact that it makes sense for Willow to side with us, so they have a one-in-three shot of playing an idol correctly if they have one. That shot becomes one-in-two if you take away Trey, which I think they will, since he has ties to Kaitlyn and Michael, thus making us less likely to target him. So, if any of them do have an idol, they have great odds of playing it right.
I think they're also expecting us to try and mislead them about where we're voting, so any reverse psychology we try could backfire on us. So, my goal is just to make sure it doesn't backfire on me. If I lose an ally here, it wouldn't be the end of the world.
To keep myself as safe as possible, I need to present myself as a viable option to someone on the OG Koror side who I think would vouch for me. Right now, I think that person could be anyone, since I think I'm on similar footing with all of them. I'll keep putting in my social work, hoping that at least one of them grows to love me as an option.
OG Koror doesn't have to vote with me; they just have to not vote against me. As long as I survive the next couple votes, it isn't super important to me what happens, although I would prefer to be on the right side of things if I can have my cake and eat it too.
If I can't eat it, I'll put it in the fridge and save it for later. Then, down the road, I'll take the cake back out and be all like "Remember this, bitch?" and eat it then, and they'll be all like "The cake! How could we have been so blind?" and I'll be all like "Mmmmm," because the cake is good.
I lost the metaphor, I'm sorry.
