I was really really reeeeeally wanting to target Trey this round, so it only makes sense that he wins immunity. Why would anything ever be easy? I can't complain though, I should've won if I wanted to ensure he'd be vulnerable. That's on me.
With Trey immune, it complicates things for me considerably, because the remaining three Korors are all people I'd really love to work with. In an ideal world, I would have taken out Trey this round and Genki the next, but I think I may have to fast-forward now and target Genki here. Problem is, it'll be extremely hard to pull off without putting myself in the spotlight.
Nikki brought up the idea of targeting Genki tonight, so there's definitely a precedent for it. I think the best way to organically shift the target onto him would be to point out that he would never have an idol played on him, since the fear of the Koror (and merge) idol is so prevalent right now.
I've promised Chris multiple times that we will work together once these sides break up, and I do believe that he wants to do that. Robbie and I discussed a plan yesterday where the two of us work together with Michael once the numbers are low enough, because nobody would see it coming (hate that phrase but it's true here lol). And tonight, Molly and I had an extremely real discussion about the game, and I think that she could be a phenomenal ally in the future.
Molly clearly views me as being in a great position; she told me that straight up tonight. The kind of player who is so unafraid to say that to someone's face is also the kind of player that won't be afraid to work with a big threat later on, which is the kind of player I need in the game. I don't think she's a great option for me to go to the end with, because I just have a gut feeling that she'd slit my throat if given the chance, but I think she may potentially be crucial in getting me through a narrow vote down the line, if the chips fall correctly.
So, if all the OG Korors are off the table, I have to look at taking out one of the Olivia voters, and I think Genki makes the most sense for me right now. It proves to Chris, Robbie, and Molly that I'm walking the walk when it comes to wanting to keep them safe, and it takes out someone who doesn't seem to have me in their long-term plans.
I worry about getting Willow and Angelica on board with this plan, though. I think what we may need to do is let the vote land on Molly, let Genki leak it, and propose flipping on him at that point. If Genki doesn't leak it, then maybe I'll just lie and say he did. That probably leaves me in a bad spot next round, though.
Pushing too hard is going to do me more harm than good. Since Nikki brought up maybe voting for Genki, I can try and get her to do a lot of the pushing. That'll enlarge the target on her that's already pretty big at this point, which is also good for me in the long term.
I'm not used to playing from the top. Maybe I'm not as high up as I think I am, but I feel pretty well-positioned and safe right now, which means it could all come crashing down at any second. I'm much more comfortable when I'm clearly on the bottom, since I don't have to watch my words as carefully. One wrong decision could send me plummeting to the bottom of the hierarchy, and with so little time left until tribal, there may not be time to get back up. I have to be super careful about how I approach a Genki vote, or it could quickly become a Kyle vote.
